On April 10, the opening ceremony of the Monrovia Super Mall was held. Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, H.E.Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, and the First Lady attended the event.

Ambassador Yin stated that since taking office, President Boakai has steadily advanced the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development with remarkable achievements, and today’s event is a testament to it. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will focus on promoting high-quality development and further expanding high-level opening-up, bringing new opportunities to other countries across the world. China’s zero-tariff policy for African countries including Liberia will help Liberia translate its own strengths into drivers of economic growth, deliver tangible benefits to the Liberian people, and inject new momentum into China-Liberia cooperation.

President Boakai conveyed his congratulations on the opening of the Monrovia Super Mall, invested by Chinese enterprises, and expressed his gratitude to China for its long-standing support for Liberia’s economic and social development.
