On May 28, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held the Media Briefing. Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, attended the meeting. 20 media representatives from the Liberia Broadcasting System, Front Page Africa, Daily Observer, The New Dawn and The News, among others, attended.

Yin briefed on the Liberia’s Foreign Minister H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti’s recent visit to China, China-Liberia friendship and the implement of China’s zero-tariff measures in Liberia. He stated that Foreign Minister Nyanti’s visit to China is a visit of friendship, cooperation and success. China is willing to work with Liberia to ensure the delivery of the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation(FOCAC) Beijing Summit, to make good and full use of the dividends of the zero-tariff policy, and to continuously advance China-Liberia strategic partnership. Yin also briefed on the China-U.S. Summit, the UN Security Council High-level Meeting hosted by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and China’s position on the Taiwan question.

Yin also addressed questions. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
