On September 29th,2026, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia hosts the reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Fan Erwei, Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia, Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Amb. Ethel Davis, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs attended and delivered remarks. More than 200 representatives attended the event, including Hon. Nehker E. Gaye, the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dr. J.Alexander Nuetah, Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Cllr. Cooper Kruah, Minister of Labour, Hon. Stephen Marka Yekeson, Jr, Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, other government officials, as well as representatives of diplomatic crops, Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese in Liberia.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The guests praised China’s remarkable achievements in development and expressed their shared hope that the China-Liberia strategic partnership would continue to grow, bringing greater benefits to both countries and their peoples.
