Chinese ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Ren Yisheng was invited by Ministry of National Defense of Liberia to attend the hand-over ceremony of Chinese medical aid to Liberia in the 14th Military Hospital on September 25th,2020. Deputy Minister of National Defense of Liberia for Administration Mr. Dickson , Chinese Defense Attaché Senior COL Han Xiao among others,were present.

Ambassador Ren echoed the remark of Liberia Minister of National Defense on the state-run radio  ELBC recently, “we cannot afford to revisit our dark and bitter past, our country has gone through a lot. A big chunk of the population is still licking their wounds and do not want to go through the same motion again ”. he said, “During the past decade, we have sent a total number of 10297 soldiers, 129 military observers and staff officers, and 750 civil policemen to Liberia for peace-keeping. This batch of medical aid reflects our sincere help to AFL and the Liberian people”. Ambassador Ren wished the 14th Military Hospital would be a great success and blessing for AFL personnel and the Liberian people.

Deputy Minister Mr. Dickson  expressed thanks to the Chinese government for this timely aid, and promised that AFL would make full use of this aid to enhance its medical capacity.
