Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng Attends The Opening Ceremony of the CPC-CDC Webinar

On October 19th, H.E. Mr. Ren Yisheng, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, attended the Opening Ceremony of the Webinar of the ruling partys of the two countries, Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of Liberia. The Assistant Minister of the International Department of CPC Central Committee Mr. Li Mingxiang, the Chairman of CDC Mr. Mulbah K. Morlu, Jr., the Vice Chairman of CDC Mr. Garbla V. Williams, and 30 party cadres of CDC were present at the ceremony.

Ambassador Ren congratulated the webinar on its successful opening, indicating that CPC and CDC have overcome the difficulties of COVID-19 epidemic to exchange governance experiences of the two ruling parties on line innovatively, which is of positive significance for advancing the relations between the two parties and countries. Chairman Morlu once told the Chinese side that although the social systems and political systems of Liberia and China are different, there is a lot for Liberia to learn from China in terms of the CPC’s ruling philosophy and its successful experience of leading the Chinese people to open up the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. We believed this webinar will help CPC and CDC to strengthen inter-party communication and cooperation in human resources training.

Ambassador Ren pointed out that China and Liberia are good friends,  brothers and partners. Since the beginning of this year, the ruling parties and governments of China and Liberia have jointly upheld the concept of putting people first and life first, supported each other to overcome difficulties together and deepened friendship and mutual trust in the fight against COVID-19. The Chinese Embassy in Liberia will continue to spare no effort to promote exchanges and cooperation between the ruling parties of both countries, and continue to support Liberia within its capacity to fight against the epidemic and restore social and economic development, continuously improve the level of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and contribute to the new leap and new glory of China-Liberia comprehensive cooperative partnership in the new era.

On behalf of Minister Song Tao and the International Department of CPC Central Committee, Assistant Minister Li Mingxiang congratulated on the opening of the webinar, and highlighted that China and Liberia supported each other and fought side by side in the fight against the epidemic. Facing the world’s profound changes unseen in a century, China is willing to work with African countries, including Liberia, to actively implement the important consensus reached in the Extraordinary China-Africa Summit On Solidarity Against COVID-19 and strengthen anti-epidemic cooperation between China and Liberia. CPC is willing to work with CDC to play the guiding role of the ruling party in China-Liberia relations, deepen governing experience sharing, jointly advance China-Liberia friendly and cooperative relations, safeguard multilateralism and promote the building of the community of shared future for China-Africa and mankind.

On behalf of CDC, the ruling party of Liberia and President Weah, Chairman Morlu congratulated CPC on leading the whole nation of China to achieve great anti-epidemic achievements, spoke highly of the relations between the two parties and the two countries, and sincerely appreciated China for its important contribution to Liberia’s social and economic development. He indicated that this seminar will create a good platform for enhancing exchanges and cooperation between the two ruling parties. CDC and Liberian government under the leadership of President Weah will continue to firmly adhere to the One-China Policy, further enhance bilateral relations between China and Liberia, and expand and deepen bilateral pragmatic cooperation in economy and trade, agriculture, poverty reduction, infrastructure construction and human resources development.
